Do URL Mentions Pass Ranking Value?
The latest study from the IMEC team tests whether a URL mention is treated like a link. We tested this twice, by taking a page that ranked in the 2nd or 3rd page of the results for a given phrase and implemented a bunch of URL mentions pointing to that page (URL mentions are when you can see the URL for a web page on the web somewhere, but it’s NOT a clickable link).
